Count the work. Every day.
Each person has a daily goal: a number of activities. The CRM counts what they do against it, live. That's it. No weighting, no formula to argue about.
What it does
- Counts outreach and results: calls (connected or not), texts, emails, leads responded to, appointments set and shown, showroom visits, test drives, sold units, service appointments, service follow-up calls, service-to-sales handoffs and completed follow-ups.
- Leaves out what isn't work: an email received, a new lead arriving, a no-show and a note are logged but don't count. Imported history doesn't count either.
- The database decides what counts, from the activity type, at the moment it's logged. Changing a type later doesn't rewrite yesterday.
- Marks hand-logged activity as self-reported and, once automatic capture ships, connected-system activity as verified, so managers know the difference.
- Each store sets its own goals and types in Settings. Every change is logged.

How it works, day to day
A rep logs a call from the contact page. The count on their dashboard goes up by one. The activity board updates for the manager. When they reach their goal, the day is done.
At 2pm, a sales manager glances at the board and sees two people under a third of their goal. That's a conversation now, not a surprise at month-end.
Over weeks, team performance shows days at goal, daily averages and streaks. Closed days and days before someone joined are never held against them.

Questions
Why not weight some activities more?
Weights turn work into a formula, and people work the formula. A count is plain: you made 42 of your 60. Everyone understands it, and there is no formula to work around.
Can we change what counts?
Yes. Each store chooses which activity types count toward the goal. Changes apply from then on and are logged.
Does it capture calls and emails automatically?
Not yet. Gmail and Microsoft 365 sync, calendar and phone are on the roadmap. Today activity is logged by hand and marked self-reported. We'll update this answer when it ships.
